I mean don't you?

I was born in '92, a babby until I watched TV about 4 years later or so (I don't care to trace anything this far back), and mainly I just watched the commercials, which were and still are the best part. You get the most information out of them, and the makers are intent on getting the best they possibly can do into the 30 second-2 minute clip.

My first video game console was a Super Nintendo Entertainment System, that I still have in my house here, and I'm sure I know where it is. First game on it was the Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles one. Donatello was my favorite with the staff. After that was the Nintendo 64. Expansion pack, that was the shit back then. Of course I hit up Super Smash Bros, Gauntlet Legends, Legend of Zelda: Ocorana of Time, and Majora's mask (gold version, hate my self now for not begging gold of OOT), and Banjo- Kazooie. After I got the next generation, Xbox, Play Station 2, and Game Cube, and a couple games for each, I noticed something missing from my 64 collection; Banjo-Tooie. So I hit up the local Gamestop (was OK back then when there was no knowledge of why it sucks now) and got it. Played it, beat it, now the whole console and main 8 or so games lie in its carrying case in my closet, every 3 or so years I whip out OOT or MM again, for nostalgia's sake. And I don't have to emulate. Stayed the course of the PS2, Xbox and Game Cube for a bit. Super Smash Bros Melee, GUN, Ratchet and Clank, Night caster etc.

Of course there were cartoons as well. Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon, main reasons for missing the '90s. Do I even have to say which ones were the reason to cancel your plans for Fridays? Ahem;

CN: Dexter's Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, Powerpuff Girls (ya, that's right), Courage the Cowardly Dog, Samurai Jack, Grim and Evil, Whatever Happened to Robot Jones?, Codename: Kids Next Door, Megas XLR, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, The Life and Times of Juniper Lee, Camp Lazlo (I started more towards the Internet watching this over my shoulder at the time), My Gym Partner's a Monkey (same here), Code Lyoko, Jackie Chan Adventures, Sailor Moon, The Smurfs, Teen Titans, Xiaolin Showdown (still never got to know each item...), Zatch Bell, Ed Edd n' Eddy (best... ever...)........

Nick: Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, The Angry Beavers, As Told by Ginger (yep), Cat-Dog, Danny Phantom, Doug, Hay, Arnold!, Invader Zim, KaBlam!, The Wild Thorn Berrys, Rocket Power, Rocko's Modern Life, Rugrats (fuck yes), Legend of the Hidden Temple, All That, The Amanda Show (I remember when amandaplease.com sounded like a long name to me).......

And that's just from the Wikipedia pages, a few off the top of my head...

Now lets open up a wound here.

Toonami.

The official end of Cartoon Network. Everyone who lived through the '90s drew a tear from that news. The Ed Edd n' Eddy final episode was a good closure. I know I'm missing other major ending of an era cartoons, but just mentioning Toonami makes me sad nowadays...

Now how about dem card games? Pokemon, OK I collected some cards and those balls that had the gold thing inside, all six of them. Yu-Gi-Oh, not bad, actually played this card game, never touched Pokemon. Still know where my deck is. Also have those 3 TV Guides featuring Yu-Gi-Oh fronts... I also recently found y Gameboy Color, Pokemon version, and Blue version... I last saved it on MissingNo, and Can't bring myself to erase the save..

Oh the books... A Series of Unfortunate Events, Sabriael, Lirael, Abhorsen (recently re-read Lirael for school, and am re-reading Abhorsen just to finish it), The Seventh Tower, The Young Wizard Series, The Thief Lord, Shade's Children just to name a few..

Yep, I sure do miss the '90s....

But why did I do this? I really just heard a compilation of songs made on Mario Paint and noted how shit got worse for me the closer it got to today. Then I got on to 'the same with TV, and video games'...

Unfortunately with the times, things change. I don't even care to watch TV now, and a future for me is starting to make it known that I actually have to do shit now. All I want is to make a damn time machine, go back and relive the '90s, and I can die happy...

Good Bye, my childhood.
